Change of Theme

without comments

Yep, I have been at it again, gone is my very amature-ish picture of an old computer and in is a new theme for wordpress I found by this person. Looks a whole lot cleaner. The site is now fluid or variable width. That is as you resize the web browser the site changes shape. Plus side is code examples can have longer lines (within reason) but the downside is short entries will not look great. Oh and I suppose it breaks the rule in news papers where lots of text on one line is hard to read – hence news papers use columns… Of course with the web you can just resize your browser to your preferred width.

I have however found a trick that lets me produce reasonable doodles on a computer without lots of frustration. Read the rest of this entry »

How many books?

without comments

I was cycling in to work the other day and thinking, well that means I only read about 12 books a year. Given I hope to live for another say 50 years that means I will read only about 600 books in my life time. I have thought about this a couple of times – heck I might even have blogged about it – but a quick check could not find it.
